In 2010, the Underclassman Games will again include eight teams, both boys and girls, who will battle it out in a pool play tournament. We will hold tryouts and will select non-senior players from eight regions around the nation.
The Under Armour All-Stars will represent Baltimore, Long Island (NY), Upstate New York, Midwest, Philadelphia, New England, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. and will come to Baltimore on July 3 and 4 to participate in the tournament in front of lacrosse fans and college coaches. Each team will play three games in pool play. The winners of each pool will meet for the Underclass Championship.
ELIGIBILITY: Boys and girls who, in July 2010, will have just completed their freshman (grad. year - 2013), sophomore (grad year- 2012) or junior (grad year- 2011) season. You must live within the geographic region for the team you are trying out for and be in good academic standing. Teams include: Baltimore All-Stars, Long Island(NY) All-Stars, Upstate NY All-Stars, Midwest All-Stars, New England All-Stars, New Jersey All-Stars, Philadelphia All-Stars and Washington, D.C. All-Stars
SELECTION: Each player must register for their geographic region. No refunds. Players will be judged by a panel of knowledgeable sources including coaching experts from that region. Each team will consist of a maximum of 24 players and will be chosen based on position and their performance at that day's tryout. Walk up registration will cost $140 for boys and $90 for girls.
ATHLETE BENEFITS: College Coaches from DI, DII & DIII lacrosse programs will be invited to attend both the regional tryouts as well as the games in Baltimore. Participants who play in the Underclassmen games will have the inside track to being exposed to the selection committee of the Under Armour All-America team which they will be eligble for once they are seniors. All participants will receive a FREE one-year subscription to Inside Lacrosse Magazine and an Under Armour Tech Tee. Players that make the final rosters will also recieve a ticket to the All-American game on July 3rd.
