Coach Bartel been teaching and coaching at the Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, for 30 years. The Blazers have enjoyed their share of successful seasons through the years and send many student athletes to make an impact at various D – I, D – II and D-III colleges and universities. In 23 years as head coach, NDP has been to the championship 9 times and won 4, with the first in 1996. Mary has won numerous coaching awards including: Baltimore Sun All-County Coach of the Year (1996), Baltimore Sun All-Metro Coach of the Year (2001 and 2003), and Baltimore County Co-Coach of the Year (2008). In 2009 Coach Bartel coached the Under Armour Baltimore Underclass team as they won the championship. Mary has been inducted into numerous Hall of Fame's including: Perry Hall Senior High School, Towson University, Notre Dame Prep., and the Greater Baltimore Chapter of Lacrosse.
